A ring of television monitors rises up from beneath the ground. The structure is unusual and could belong to the past or the future. The show begins as this structure appears, with the image of a huddled body immediately displayed, sliding along the curve of screens until the ring disappears once again beneath the ground. When the monitors appear a second time, the figure seen in the screens appears in the flesh out of a hole. This figure is one of the Butoh dancers (a form of Japanese dance theatre) who are involved in the performance.

The spectacle oscillates between an evocation of a distant past and that of a projected future, providing tools to re-interpret the exterior environment and human nature.
