Milan: a large PVC plastic pyramid covers the entire space of the courtyard in front of the Palazzo del Senato. The structure is supported by eleven thousand cubic metres of hot air. Inside it, there are a few monitors, arranged like another upside down pyramid, reassembling the image of a stage on which three female dancers perform. Entering this architectural structure is like stepping inside a large screen. It is like a synthetic space created by a large bubble of hot air and in the centre, the machine pulsates.

The dancers shift in an attempt to recompose their physical wholeness while an orange moves from screen to screen. On this journey the empty space between each monitor becomes a space of freedom where the spectator’s imagination fills in the gaps.
