This installation is built around synchronized moving lights and videos. The shafts of light try to bring the figures and painted scenarios of Mariano Fortuny’s entirely frescoed Venetian atelier to life, like an illusionistic trompe l’oeil painting. Several people collaborated on this project during a workshop in Venice and just like the strong relationship with the decorated space, it is shaped by the exterior environment of the city and by the very matter of painting.
