SENSIBLE MAP

Ambiente sensibile
Casablanca, Casablanca, Interaction #3, 2008
A flow of full-size people is projected on an eight-meter surface as, they stroll undisturbed in a typically Moroccan landscape featuring arches and mosaics. The visitor/actor can stop one of the walking figures with a simple gesture of his/her hand. When summoned, the figure addresses the viewer and shares a short story, a song, or a memory; a small gift that will materialise through a visual impression, an object, a matter, a colour that will settle on the virtual carpet spread on the floor. When s/he goes away, the character will join the flow again. The collected impressions will gradually overlap on the carpet and draw a “map of the invisible” in the city, as the consequence of the crossing of its inhabitants’ gazes, experiences, and feelings.
